MISSION AND PROGRAM STATEMENT
The mission of the Curtain Call Performing Arts is to promote and produce exceptional programs in Theatre, Music, Comedy, Concerts, Dance, Training and performance experiences for youth and adults.
OUR VISION
The Vision of Curtain Call Performing Arts is to ensure that performance-based arts are accessible to everyone who desires to participate or attend performances by keeping both ticket prices low and class/workshop tuition affordable.
YOUTH IN THE ARTS PROGRAM
Youth in the Arts Program provides training to empower youth to express themselves, through Theatre, Music, Comedy, Dance, Production and Technology hands on Experience and Training. The program is designed to nurture students’ talents and gifts by teaching techniques and giving them tools needed to develop and perfect their production and performance skills.
WORKSHOPS AND PROGRAMS
In our programs students will learn event production, promotion and event management skills. The program culminates with the students participating in, producing, promoting and running a live event at The Historic BAL Theatre.
We will cover event production concept thru completion, subjects include but are not limited to booking talent, basic budgets, production processes, stage and event management, concert promotions and marketing, event lighting and design, sound engineering, mixing, recording, video production, recording, editing of events, planning and more.
This program gives students opportunities to explore their inner artist while challenging them to stretch beyond their comfort zone as a producer, performer, musician, and entertainer.
ARTS IN OUR COMMUNITY
Curtain Call Performing Arts offers assembly performance programs to school children, families and adults in the surrounding communities.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Are you wishing you could take the workshops, but you just can’t afford it right now? CCPA is dedicated to ensuring that all students who have a drive to learn can participate in our workshops are given an opportunity to participate.
MAIN STAGE THEATRE
Curtain Call Performing Arts Main Stage Theatre Program extends theatre experiences to the general population at large and offers opportunity for community members of all ages to work side by side in theatre productions and a diverse range of culturally diverse events.
Curtain Call Performing Arts (CCPA) is constantly working to preserve the Arts, Entertainment and History within our community. Curtain Call Performing Arts utilizes San Leandro’s Historic BAL Theatre for all of its community programming and in addition has the mission of maintaining and leading the restoration of the Historic BAL Theatre.
