For nearly eight decades, the Historic BAL Theatre has been the cultural heart of San Leandro. Built in 1945 and opened on July 1, 1946 as the Bay Area’s most modern theatre, the BAL is an 800-seat Art Deco movie palace that has hosted four generations of San Leandro families through movies, concerts, tribute shows, and community events.

Video and Digital Slide Specs
To make sponsorship easy, here’s what we need from you once you sign on:
- Pre-show video: MP4, 1920×1080, 16:9, up to 30 seconds, with or without audio
- Pre-show digital slide: JPG or PNG, 1920×1080, 16:9
- Logo for website and email: PNG with transparent background, minimum 600px wide
- We’ll handle layout, scheduling, and rotation — just send us your assets and we’ll take it from there
Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the sponsorship commitment?
All packages run for one year from the start date of your sponsorship. We’ll reach out 30 days before renewal so you have plenty of time to decide.
Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?
San Leandro Curtain Call Performing Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN [TBD]). The portion of your sponsorship not directly tied to advertising benefit may be tax-deductible. Consult your tax advisor for guidance specific to your business.
Can I customize my sponsorship package?
Yes. If you’d like to adjust the mix of benefits — say, a custom video length, additional event tickets, or sponsorship of a specific show or program — let us know and we’ll build a package that works.
I’m a small business — can I still participate?
Absolutely. The Curtain level is designed with small and family-owned businesses in mind. We also welcome multi-business co-sponsorships where two or three businesses join together at a higher tier.
Can I sponsor a single show or event series?
Yes. We offer per-show and seasonal sponsorships in addition to annual packages. Mention this on the inquiry form below and we’ll follow up.
What does a Marquee Sponsor’s live announcement sound like?
Each show, our emcee thanks our Marquee Sponsors by name from the stage before the performance begins. It’s brief, gracious, and gives your business a spotlight in front of a full house.
